About Barbara

Barbara is a native of Massachusetts. She was born in Dorchester and grew up in Hull, a small beach town locally known as Nantasket Beach. Having a love of the beach, Barbara went on to raise her family in another small beach town, Wareham MA. Barbara operated a licensed home daycare allowing her to spend valuable time with her son and daughter until they were old enough to go to public school. Once the kids were off to school, it was time for a new opportunity which led to employment with the Town of Wareham. Barbara spent 6 years working in the Building/Inspection Department and then moved on to work with the Town Manager for another 6 years. Always striving to improve, she secured a position with the Massachusetts Secondary School Administrators Association, where she stayed for the next 5 years before following her dream and relocating to sunny Florida! Barbara had visited Florida many times through the years and knew this is where she belonged. Her children now out of high school, she made the big move to Key Largo in 2004. Barbara managed a private marina in Key Largo while attending real estate school in Miami. In 2005, one after the other, 4 major hurricanes swept over the Florida Keys and real estate was put on hold to work with her family’s construction business. A summer trip to Nokomis, Florida that year changed her life. Barbara had never been to the west coast of Florida but immediately fell in love with the area. Barbara had found her Paradise and by the end of the year, she planted roots in Venice where she has called home for the last 17 years. As a local real estate professional, Barbara aspires to assist sellers in their move to the next chapter of their lives while introducing buyers to life in paradise. She is a great listener learning what is important to clients and serve them as an expert guide through the selling and/or purchasing journey. Her goal is to share her knowledge and experience while committing to make the real estate transaction as smooth as possible. I would be honored to put my real estate experience to work for you.” Barbara is excited to have joined NextHome Suncoast in 2022 and looking forward utilizing the unparalleled NextHome Suncoast technology and systems to provide a world class real estate experience for her clients. Barbara currently serves as Director on the Venice Area Board of Realtors (VABR), as well as serving on the Finance Committee. She is a prior member of the VABR Leadership Group, Legislative Affairs, RPAC and Grievance Committee. Barbara is committed to giving back to the community frequently volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and All Faiths Food Bank. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, biking, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, boating -- anything related to the beach!
